| Jabalpur
a large city is in the center of state of Madhya
Pradesh in India. The
city is right in the geographical center of the
country on the banks River Narmada.
Jabalpur is a beautiful and peaceful town. It
is in a valley surrounded by rocky mountains,
some of which are densely forested. The forests,
tranquil lakes. Hills and Narmada River make this
city strikingly beautiful at places.
The city is a major education hub in India. There
are large numbers of engineering colleges, IIIT,
management institutes, medical and veterinary
college. The High Court of MP
and Government head quarters
are based in Jabalpur providing
lot of activity to the town. Many defense industries
are established here being a major center for
production of arms and ammunition in India. The
military presence is also notable in this town.

trading center, though private industries are limited
but growing day by day. The surrounding forests yield
lot of minor forest produce and timber. Jabalpur is experiencing

is in the center of popular tourism network
in MP. It is at the center point
of Kanha Tiger Reserve, Pench
and Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
The reserves are at an easily reachable distance
by road from Jabalpur. Pachmarhi Hill
Station and Amarkantak Hills
in Satpura Range are scenic hill
resorts and pilgrimage centers. Pachmarhi is three
and half hours ride by rail and road. Rani
Duragvati Wildlife Sanctuary and Nauradehi
WLS are at a short motor able distance.
Places of interest in Jabalpur
are the World famous Marble Rocks &
Dhuandhar Fall. Other places for sightseeing
are Madan Mahal, Chausath
Yogini, Temples,
Dumna Nature Reserve, Bargi Reservoir
for Cruise and
boating. There are lots of gardens and
scenic picnic spots like Payali, the
Pariyat and Khandari Reservoirs.
